1933	AJS S3 V-twin	Launched in 1931, the AJS S3 was a 496 cc transverse V-twin tourer with shaft primary drive (but chain final drive), three speed bevel driven gearbox and alloy cylinder heads. The 50 degree V configuration was effective for air cooling and with a tank top \'dashboard\' was conceived as a luxury cruiser. It had been expensive to develop and at �65 was more expensive than the 1000cc AJS of the same year, so the S3 did not sell in large numbers and by the end of 1931 AJS had gone into liquidation and been taken over by Matchless motorcycles who discontinued production.

1961	1961 ajs 350cc model 8 (lightweight)	AJS Model 8 1960-62 348cc ohv single, 350lb, 70mpg, 80mph. This is the bigger version of the Model 14 & G2, which has increased performance.
1961	1961 ajs m14	AJS Model 14 1958-66, 248cc ohv single, 330lb, 66mpg, 70mph. At a time when most other manufacturers were going to unit-construction, AJS produced this single, which retained a separate gearbox. Employing butterfly valve springs & an oil tank in the engine case casting it was a brave attempt, which never succeeded. Heavy for a lightweight the handling improved with the AMC front forks on later models. The 14CSR was the sports model with improved styling & suspension.
