| 1924 | 1924 Douglas 2-3/4 HP 350cc | In 1924 they didn't really have paved roads as we know them today, and so for most people riding at night was not very desirable. This bike however, comes with the optional front and rear lights which are powered by acetylene gas (not operational today). The gas is generated within the black cannister to the rear of the engine and piped up to the front and rear lights. Another optional extra is the speedometer which is driven from the hub of the front wheel, and as you can see is in great working condition. This is a lovely bike and a fine piece of motorcycling history at 85 years old. | |

| 1950 | Douglas Mark III | The Douglas Mark III was designed and built by Douglas motorcycles in Bristol between 1949 and 1951. The 350cc flat twin engine in the Douglas Mark III was based on a WW2 electricity generator. As well as the 1949 Douglas Mark III, Douglas also produced a Mark III \'De Luxe\', a Mark III Sports and a rigid framed motorcycle trials Competition version. There never was a Douglas Mark II, and the Mark IV was short lived, so the end of the line of development was the Mark V produced between 1951 and 1954, when it was replaced by the Douglas Dragonfly. | |

| 1955 | Douglas Dragonfly | The Douglas Dragonfly was designed and built by Douglas motorcycles in Bristol. The last motorcycle produced by the company, the 1955 Dragonfly was new styling around an old design. It did not sell well however, and only 1,600 Dragonfly motorcycles were produced before the company was taken over and production ended in 1957. | |
