The TS250 was introduced in 1969 as a slightly detuned version of Suzuki\'s TM250 motocrosser. Producing 23 HP at 6500 rpm back when 250cc was considered big enough for most uses, it was a great performer both on and off road. Suzuki first introduced the TS250 in 1969 as a dual purpose machine. The two stoke 246cc engine produces around 23 BHP through a five speed gearbox. Other features included high rise front and rear suspension upswept exhaust and originally a 21 inch front wheel to enable stability in rough terrain combined with almost 10 inches of ground clearance. It was called the Savage in the USA and the Hustler in Japan but just plain TS250 in the UK. |
