Triumph T100 Tiger 100 1939-57, 490cc, ohv twin, 370lb, 60mpg, 100mph Pre-war model with telescopic front forks added in 1945, this was the sports version of the 5T. The all alloy engine is rather noisy. The early models had rigid rear end or sprung hub, which were eventually replaced by swinging arm in 1955, but this did not radically improve it's handling. |

Triumph re-entered the 350 class in 1957 with the introduction of the twenty one, triumph's first unit-construction model. following the introduction of the sporting 500cc t100ss, the 350cc twin received similar treatment. launched in october 1962, the tiger 90 featured a tuned engine equipped with a revised ignition system that used points instead of the previous distributor. the tiger 90 looked smart and went well too, top speed under favourable conditions being a genuine 90mph. |
