For this fourth season of the European Classic Endurance Championship, DG Sport is innovating! Mindful of wishing to retain the amateur character of the series, the organisers worked hard on new regulations with a view to privileging the non-professionals teams. On the programme, the creation of 3 different riders’ status allowing the team to be split into 2 categories: Classic and Legend. These categories will be in the running for the overall rankings, all classes combined.
As such a race within a race for these teams that enhance the series! As for the public they will be able to continue admiring the talents of yesteryear’s champions. These modifications of the regulations promise to strongly increase the thrilling moments.
Motul, partners from the outset, also reiterate their support for the series thanks to the Motul Challenge. The lubricant specialists will be bringing into play a series of prizes for the teams bearing their corporate colours on their motorbikes.
On the calendar front, the European Classic Series will kick-off on the mythical Castellet circuit. An opening springtime round scheduled for the 15th and 16th April, offering a unique opportunity to rediscover this track under optimal conditions.
The teams will then meet up at Spa-Francorchamps. For the 9th year this Ardennes circuit will welcome the classic endurance machines on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd July during the Bikers’ Classics. This is a not to be missed race that already promises to be gripping!
For Aragon the rendezvous is set for the 28th and 29th October. As such the year will end on a high note on this rolling circuit, located in scenery worthy of the best westerns.
Both the sporting and technical regulations are already available on the website. Online registrations are open as from the 27th January.
