Two stroke Cafe racer EngineThen of course there was some tuning. There was no shortage of blokes in sheds all to happy to attack your barrels with a file in return for your cash. Stan Stephens, Terry Beckett ( who sadly passed away recently aged 87) and many others are the obvious names that spring to mind. Buying race pipes was also very much a personal choice, though Allspeed and Micron were the mainstream choice for many. Classic Bike Net spotted this period spec racer at Santa Pod a few weeks back. We stopped, admired and took a few pics for your visual delight.
