Classic Japanese Bike Show and Jumble

2-Day Jap Bike Show Donington is back

2-Day Jap Bike Show Donington is backAfter a two year absence due to the closure of the Exhibition Centre at Donington Park, The 12th Classic Japanese Bike Show and Jumble sponsored by Classic Motorcycle Mechanics magazine returns to the East Midlands venue over the weekend of 4th & 5th February 2012.

Despite the threat of the hall being knocked down to make way for a widened racing circuit the original facility is still standing and after a lick of paint looks just like new. Exhibitors who supported the show in great numbers until 2009 have returned in 2012 to get behind this re launched event. The club element is looking particularly strong with displays from the VJMC, Yamaha FS1E OC, Kawasaki Z1 OC, Honda MB enthusiasts, West Yorks VJMC, The LC club, Vulcan Riders Assn amongst others all competing for the £250 first prize for the club display, won last year by The Classic Yamaha Club who will again be in attendance. There is more prize money available in the private entry section with £250 being presented by our sponsors for bike of the show plus £100 prizes for the best Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki.

To date we have over 50 mouth watering machines entered into the concours with all the major marques represented. As far as the trade is concerned we will have representation from local dealers specialising in Japanese motorcycles plus small business and autojumble traders dealing in parts for the Classic Japanese market. The show runs from 10am to 3pm each day and entry is £10 adults, £5 children 7-14, under 7’s free and parking is free. The venue is 2 miles along the A453 from J23a (Donington Park services) of the M1 (J24 Southbound), next to East Midlands airport.
