1986 Suzuki RG-RS500 GammaWalworth, Wis. – Dec. 30, 2015 – Mecum Auctions will take over South Point Hotel’s Exhibit Hall for MidAmerica’s 25th Annual Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction Thursday, Jan. 7 through Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016. As the most anticipated antique motorcycle auction of the year, the three-day event is open to buyers, sellers and spectators, drawing participants from all 50 states and around the world. This year, motorcycle fans will have the opportunity to see more than 700 antique and collector motorcycles spanning approximately 110 years of motorcycle production cross the auction block.

1918 HARLEY-DAVIDSON BOARD TRACK RACER The motorcycle auction will feature many headliners, including a rare and coveted 1908 Harley-Davidson Strap Tank (Lot S85) and a beautifully restored 1918 Harley-Davidson Board Track Racer (Lot F102). More than 100 collectible British motorcycles will be available among the MidAmerica Las Vegas Auction lineup, including vehicles from Vincent, Triumph, Norton, BSA and more.

Additionally, the auction will feature modern collectible motorcycles, including a 2014 Indian Chief (Lot S80), with 200,000 hand-laid Swarovski crystals. Several private collections from well-respected enthusiasts within the motorcycle community will be featured as well, including an assemblage of 38 two-wheeled rides from Allen Smith’s Australian Collection, traveling across the ocean from the Land Down Under for a chance to grace the Vegas motorcycle auction stage. Eighteen motorcycles from the Estenson Collection will be featured at the auction, 13 of which will cross the block at no reserve.

1929 HARLEY-DAVIDSON JDTickets to the Mecum MidAmerica Motorcycle auction are available at the gate for $25 per person, per day. Three-day passes are available for $60. Children younger than 12 will receive complimentary admission. Bidder registration is open and available for $100 when completed in advance and includes admission for two to each auction day. Doors open daily at 8 a.m., with the auction beginning on Thursday, Jan. 7 at 5 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 8 and Saturday, Jan. 9 at 9 a.m. The Thursday auction will be preceded by an optional dinner buffet from 4 to 5 p.m. at an additional cost of $50 per person. Portions of the event will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network on Saturday, Jan. 9 from 3-6 p.m. PST (same day delay) and on Monday, Jan. 11 from 4-6 p.m. PST (delayed). A live stream of the entire auction will be presented on the Mecum website.
