Classic Racing Legends on show

Classic Racing Legends on showThere are many amazing motorcycles steeped in racing history in this year’s Classic Bike hall. Norton Owners Club celebrates its 50th anniversary with a series of production racers and special appearances by Peter Williams and Keith Eccles. Also appearing will be Chris McGahan, TT Rider and three times winner of the Manx Grand Prix, who will display his race winning 350cc Honda motorcycle on the Tamworth and District Classic Motorcycle Club stand. Eric Patterson’s Land Speed record holding Bonneville will also be on display.

The Vincent HRD Owners Club stand will feature a collection of motorcycles illustrating the marque’s sporting history from 1928 to present day including the HRD Super 90, the model on which Howard R Davies won the 1925 Senior TT. No line up of sporting Vincents would be complete without an example of the Black Lightning, the famous road racer and record breaker, and the lesser known 500 cc Grey Flash on which Vincent apprentice John Surtees first came to prominence. Around eight machines will span eighty years of Vincent history.
