This is the original ex Brian Johnson Imperial Wizard Pro Stock Drag Bike. The custard yellow Zed was one of the very first if not the first UK European Pro Stock Drag Bikes to go into the 8 second bracket over the quarter mile.
Brian went onto to top fuel and become the King Pin in his class, his trusty Zed was sold to a bike dealer from London.
Frank Kellond raced this bike at many venues like Santa Pod, Le Mans and Long Marston. The Pro Stocker was last raced at the Ramsey sprint on the Isle of Man in the mid 1990s, where it won its class.
Since then the bike has been on display on a very high shelf at Motorcycles Unlimited, Frank’s West London motorcycle showroom.
For two decades it’s sat collecting dust, the bike was literally put on a shelf as soon as we arrived back from the Isle Of Man in the summer of 1995 and was never used again.
Over the years the bike has been in two or three different colour schemes and the exhaust has been changed to a Vance & Hines Pro Stock system. Frank would love to see the bike end up in the hands of someone who remembers this famous bike, the Pro Stocker would be favoured to go back to its Historic Imperial Wizards colours for events such as Drag Nostalgia.
The cool Kawasaki is now on the market, the price tag is £10,000.
