“Harris made frames didn’t they?”
Yes. Harris Performance were big on making bespoke frames to tame the power from 70s and 80s Japanese superbikes. From their humble workshop in Hertford they churned out Magnum frames and chassis kits to eager punters. They also made race bike frames for everything from TZ250 engines to 500GP chassis kits for the YZR500.
“Harris made exhausts didn’t they?”
Yes. They made a whole range of 4-1 ‘works’ systems for loads of Japanese four cylinder bikes. They came in chrome or black, both rusted away quickly.
“Harris made race parts didn’t they?”
Yes. Everything from fairing brackets and rearsets, through to items like this exhaust hanger. The alloy bracket carries the Herford Harris hallmark, otherwise looks pretty uninteresting. This one was anodised gold which hampered value! It made £30.
