Flogged it Friday! Honda VFR800 1998 Fairing.

Selling used fairings and body panels can be a right pain in the arse, managing peoples expectations on the condition of used parts is never trickier than when dealing with anything that is associated with the body work.
If a used fairing is in perfect condition it is often an item that won’t hang about too long. If it is trashed it tends to go straight off to landfill.
“This VFR800 panel looks decent enough.”
For a 23 year old fairing it isn’t in too bad a shape at all. It came my way in a job lot bundle of various used parts. The red paint hasn’t aged that well, its shine is long gone, if I didn’t know better I would say it may have been repainted in the past. It just lacks that factory finish and it’s gone dull in places.
On one side there’s a nasty piece of road rash, deep enough to scuff the tough plastic, but not heavy enough to smash it into bits like an Easter egg. In short, it is still useable.

Sold it within a few hours of listing it with a £50 buy it now listing. Result.
