Flogged It Friday! Kawasaki KX250 1989 Frame.
“Aren’t these bikes worth a fortune?”
I am not overly interested in motocross bikes. This is because I bought an old Yamaha YZ when I was a teenager that ate its piston and bankrupted me. Forty odd years later, I still feel that misery. I do though make a living from buying and breaking other peoples misfortunes with motorcycles, so I best get over it.
1980’s and 90’s Motocross bikes are not cheap to buy now, and a knock on to this is that less bikes get broken for parts.
“What happened to the rest of it?”
The bike was missing the bodywork and exhaust, also in several large cardboard boxes, its future was sealed. I have since sold pretty much most of it on in part form.
The frame was one of the last parts to find a new home, and yet I would’ve thought it might have been the first. This is because it is straight and solid. It was also cheap at only £100.
