Flogged it Friday! Yamaha spanner.
“Didn’t know you traded in tools?”
Pretty much every motorcycle that rolls in to end its life, will have an under seat tool kit.
The quality of the contents vary massively from neat and pristine items that were assembled with thought, through to a few open ended spanners and a cable tie.
These are often worthless, but not always.
“Original is best.”
Any tools that are hallmarked with a manufacturers name are sellable. They don’t make big bucks, but they do always sell (eventually). Grommet spotters get wet with the thought of a complete factory tool roll and will often be on the hunt for the missing pieces to create a complete set. I have sold tool kits complete for years, but recently I’ve started to list the spanners etc individually.
“You got a fiver for one spanner!”
Yes, I know. Crazy isn’t it. If you have one of those random boxes of tools in your shed, have a dig through it and see what gold you are sitting on!
