Guy Martin left Cadwell Park today with a smile on his face, this was after getting some laps in on the rebuilt Suzuki Vintage Parts Katana.
Next weekend Guy and his team mate Pete Boast will compete at the Spa four hour endurance race on the Suzuki Katana. It’s race debut at Donington Park last month ended prematurely, the Katana required some extensive repairs. These were more than just cosmetic.
The engine had ended up with gravel inside the cylinders, the downside of racing on open carbs. With a refreshed engine Guy Martin took the track this morning, we were there when he came in to report to the Suzuki crew. It was all positive from Guy and the bike was whisked away for last minute fettling before Spa next weekend. Guy’s also been busy on the spanners, he’s built a spare engine for the trip to Belgium next weekend.
The Katana looked the part today and the added lights are because the four hour endurance race will run into the night. Classic-motorbikes.net wish the team well for the event.
