Historic race team Laverda Corse at the 200 Miglia of Imola Revival




Special guests at the 200 Miglia of Imola Revival will be Laverda Corse, the historic race team managed by Ing Piero Laverda. The team will be demonstrating a selection of the historic race bikes which Moto Laverda Spa raced so successfully during the 70s and 80s in International Endurance and Sport Production racing.

Members of the team include the original technicians, mechanics, test riders and racers whose racing successes promoted the name Laverda all over the world. Laverda Corse actively campaign the iconic orange racers in European historic race events and have a collection of superbly restored race machines representing the 500cc, 750cc and 1000cc classes

Team principal Ing Piero Laverda will be bringing to Imola some of the beautiful machines from the Laverda family collection including the legendary V6 racing prototype . This incredible machine was a technical tour de force which stunned the motorcycle world when it was announced in 1976. It’s 24v , water cooled DOHC V6 engine owed much to contemporary F1 technology and famously exceeded 280kph on its debut appearance at the Bol d’Or. The Laverda V6 is considered a milestone in the development of modern production bikes.

Today Laverda Corse are an important point of reference for anybody restoring Laverda motorcycles. Imola will provide a rare opportunity to meet the team and talk about Laverdas with some of the leading experts from the famous Italian factory.
