If the arrival of the H1 triple had established Kawasaki as a manufacturer of performance motorcycles the H2 750cc triple confirmed it. Totally focused on performance, the new model could cover the standing quarter in well under 13 seconds and achieve a maximum speed of 125 mph while despatching a gallon of fuel in 17 miles. With a claimed 74bhp at 6,800rpm and maximum torque of 57ft lb at only 300rpm less it was and is a machine that demands respect.
