“Didn’t know you got involved with off road bikes?”
That’s because I don’t. I hate the things. They are always knackered and people always want too much for them. They also attract punter pain, thanks usually to buyers that have no money. In short, I avoid them.
“Must’ve been cheap?”
It was part of a van full of used bikes and parts that needed clearing out after the shop had to close on the quick.
I vaguely remember these from my school days, every teenage boy in Dagenham had a dirt bike. I think it is a mid eighties model, more than likely an eighty six model.
“Is it a runner?”
No. The engine kicks over but it feels very notchy. The water cooled two stroke motor will be needing a rebuild. On the up side, the bike is complete.
