Make or Break? Suzuki GSX-R1000K2.
“One owner from new.”
This bike was purchased new in 2002 and since then its only had one keeper. He parted with it two years ago and its then sat in my workshop ever since. I was going to use the bike on the road, as having had one a few years back, I have a soft spot for the original GSX-R1000.
“So what now?”
I was having a sort out and decided it is time to punt it on. Prices have risen since I bought this and there was an obvious profit to be had by selling it on whole. To do this I would need to sort a new battery and get a fresh MoT to get top dollar.
Instead I have opted to break it!
“There’s some goodies on there!”
Yes! There is an Ohlins shock, Harris rear sets and an Akrapovic silencer. There is also some cool AP six pot brake calipers that grip some AP floating discs. These parts alone will tot up to around what I paid for the bike back in 2021.
