‘Barry Sheene hated four strokes!’
Other than a 1979 Dunstall Suzuki GS1000 that Barry raced on an August bank holiday back 1979 it is common knowledge that Sheene was no fan of the muck spreader four stroke engine.
So what better way to pay tribute to this fact and get a GSX-R400 repainted in Sheene colours!
‘Is it a GK73?’
Correct. The most popular GSX-R400 is probably the later GK76 with its upside down forks and ‘M’ styling. The GK73 is though probably the more common one on the buyer’s market.
This one had been sat for about a year or so. The last owner bought new front discs and had few jobs done before running out of enthuiasm. It then sat idle in his garage.
