Make or Break? Yamaha FJR1300 2002.
“That looks massive!”
The FJR1300 is a very big slice of motorcycle, it is also pretty heavy to move about. Both of these things fade away once you ride it, but my first impressions are that this is one big old bus.
I also realise that this is the first time that I have ever dealt into one of these mile munching motorbikes.
“Looks tidy though.”
For a 20 year old bike they don’t arrive much cleaner than this. It is a real credit to its three previous owners. The last guy that bought it only had it for a month before realising the bike was kind of wasted for what he needed it for. He opted to find something more retro and with much less plastic on it. He did though fit a fresh battery and get it through its MoT test before parting with it.
“Straight to market.”
I have decided to put it straight to market and within a day of buying it, I had a local trader who was hot for it, so a deal was struck. I had considered using the FJR myself, but realised that I already have several bikes that are less bulky waiting for me to use them.
