We are saddened to report that folllowing a long battle with cancer, Mick Walker has passed away.
Mick has been acknowledged as one of world’s leading motorcycle authorities. His career spanned over 50 years, writing well over 100 books within that time, has owned a motorcycle dealership, racer, team manager and tuner, he has been involved in virtually every aspect of the motorcycle industry. His first book, Ducati Singles, was published in 1985. Under the Mick Walker Racing team he also mentored British talent including twice World Superbike champion James Toseland, Ollie Bridewell and Tom Tunstall.
He was also editor of Motorcycle Enthusiast and even received a lifetime achievement award from Ducati in 1990 and becoming president of the Italian Motorcycle Owners Club in 2010.
Few have achieved as much as Mick in the motorcycle world, he will be much missed.
