MM stands for MonoMarcia (automatic). The engine was a variation on the 3-speed handchange ones that stayed also in use for the 3V
This one is made from 1968 – 1971 and is an automatic, it is the same as the 3V/3M, apart from some specific things for the automatic gearbox of course! The Dingo 3V and MM`s were made to be a cheaper ride as the Dingo 4 speed models and also easy to use for women with the ‘step-through’ design.
As you can see it has this ‘bulb’ on the left-hand side of the engine, this is the centrifugal clutch directly mounted on the crancshaft. It has two handbrakes (no clutch) and pedals to start instead of the ‘forward’ kick start on the 3V/3M models.
This is the first model of the MM with pressed steel frame, from 1971 the MM and 3V came with more economic to produce tubelar frame.
It has a bigger chain wheel at the back to give it more grund to take of from standstill, top speed was the same as the 3V models, about 45 km/h.
