This just caught our eye online, so we thought we better share it with you.
You couldn’t move in the 70s and 80s for specialist frame builders, each taking ill handling production bikes and chucking away the original frame at least, or the entire rolling chassis at worst!
Firms like Harris, Spondon and many others created track ready bikes that often ended up on the road.
P&M were another outfit, their chassis kits are harder to come by, but every bit desirable.
This Suzuki powered Peckett & McNab, P&M, is fitted with a GSX1100 engine. We know that the photo shows a Kawasaki sticker on the tank, but the bike is all Suzuki. This bike isn’t the result of a winter in the shed, this bike was part of the Phase One Endurance Team.
The advert gives us all the info on its history.
It was used in the European Classic Series winning machine ridden by Ian Simpson and Peter Linden.
It’s last outing was at the Imola 4 hour endurance race in 2017, an event it won.
The motorcycle is for sale due to other ongoing projects within the team, they also have two identical bikes, but it’s this bike that will be sold. The other kept with other championship winning bikes in our collection.
