Regulars to the Classic Motorbikes Net site might remember my plan to buy and sell my way to the bike of my dreams? A Suzuki GSX-R1100 Slabby was and still is the object of my desire.
After a blinding start when I sold an old CZ125 that I was given I had £150 in my kitty. There was never a script for my journey, that probably explains why life got in the way and the GSX-R dream slid further away.
Well, the plan is back again! I’ve found that £150 that I’d stuck in my sock drawer, and I’m ready to spend it.
I’m currently sat here surfing the for sale posts on various Facebook pages to see if there’s any deals to be had, so far there’s nothing to fit my measly budget.
The thrill of the chase is part of the fun, so I’m going to carry that notion forward and widen my search.
I’ve wasted enough time already, plus there’s a dead cool GSX-R1100J on eBay and even one finished in Skoal Bandit colours, if I hadn’t got sidetracked for the last six months, one of those bikes could’ve been in my garage!
