South of England Classic Bike Show & Autojumble

Yamaha 100Elk Promotions put together the final Ardingly gathering of the season on Sunday 28th October and Classic Motorbikes.net took the morning off to check out both the classy and corroded. Inside it was all shining paint and chrome with every era of classic bike represented, from veteran Brit to oil burning 80s Jap. We met Paul from the VJMC who told us about his stunning, prize winning Yamaha YL-1 100 Twin which really caught the attention of the hall.

MotobiThe Vincent display also attracted much interest whilst outside there were more than a few ‘barnfinds’ some of which should have remained hidden, but the buyers were out in force with traffic backed up to gain entry into the car parks. This event always produces some rare machines including the 1959 Motobi 125 that was for sale at £2750; you don’t see one of those every day. We thought a small gallery of images would offer the chance to see how many of our readers have owned, borrowed or broken any of these classics in the past. The next Ardingly Show is on Sunday 31st March 2019 and if it’s anything like this one ..  grab your £6 entry and attend.
