It’s just five weeks to go until the first classic endurance race of the year, the Sunday Ride Classic
at Circuit Paul Ricard on the French Riviera.

The feature race of the weekend will be the opening round of the European Endurance Legend
Cup classic endurance series for pre-1986 bikes, but there’s a lot more going on over the
weekend, both on and off track.

Famous Names
Track stars making an appearance at the Sunday Ride Classic will include Freddie Spencer, Steve
Baker, Olivier Jacque, Jean-Francois Baldé, Christian Sarron, Philippe Coulon, Wes Cooley,
Wayne Gardner and his son Remy, Richard Hubin, Peter Linden, Matthieu Lagrive and many
more.

Famous Marques
The Exhibition Salon and paddock village will feature displays from Brough Superior, Ducati,
Honda, KTM, Royal Enfield, Husqvarna and Indian as well as numerous other traders (Shark,
Segura, Beringer, etc) and clubs.

Famous Track
The Circuit Paul Ricard track has been a much loved venue for endurance racing since the 1970s
and on-track activities will be the centre-pice of the Sunday Ride Classic. The schedule for the
weekend is as follows:

Friday 23rd March:
Free practice for all classes, first set of display rides.

Saturday 24th March:
Races for ICGP, 250GP, Pro-Twins, open and classic sidecars, Ducati Club de France.
‘We Love Monster’ Ducati anniversary parade.
Champions on Track: Spencer, Sarron, Baker, Cooley, Genoud, etc.
Display and demos on track.
European Endurance Legend Cup race at twilight.

Sunday 25th March
Races for ICGP, 250GP, Pro-Twins, open and classic sidecars, Ducati Club de France.
Display and demos on track.
Laverda V6 parade laps
Honda CBX parade laps
Champions on Track: Spencer, Sarron, Baker, Cooley, Genoud, etc.
