Bikers’ Classics 2014: the Suzuki RG500 turns 40!

Preparations for the twelfth edition of the Bikers’ Classics at Spa-Francorchamps are already at full swing. During the first weekend of July 2014, from 4-6 July, the fortieth anniversary of the legendary Suzuki RG500 will be remembered and celebrated in great style.

As usual there will be lots of animation at the Bikers’Classics; this weekend you will be able to visit a magnificent exhibition on the history of Grand Prix sidecars at Spa-Francorchamps.

 

Giacomo Agostini returns to Francorchamps

Giacomo Agostini will be one of the star atractions at this year’s GP500 Parade at the Belgian Bikers’ Classics. The Italian ‘Maestro’ won eight races at the long and treacherous Spa Francorchamps circuit and he will return to the track riding his beloved 1968 MV Agusta 500/3.

One would think that after the magnificent 10th anniversary edition, the organisers of the Bikers’ Classics would find it hard to do better than that. Yet the 2013 edition, which will take place on the track of Spa-Francorchamps on 5, 6 and 7 July, seems to become one of the most interesting editions ever.

 

The Endurance Championship for classic bikes is a fact!

Thanks to the support of the UEM/FIM Europe, DG Sport, organiser of the Bikers’Classics in Francorchamps and the 200 Miglia di Imola Revival, creates a new championship: the European Classic Series. This endurance championship will be exclusively for classic bikes and will consist out of three rounds in 2013.
