Newbury Racecourse will start the 2012 Classic Car and bike season on the 5th Feb where we expect to see around 100 classic cars displaying on the hard standing in front of the grandstand. This is also a good show for bikes filling half the inside hall with over 30 trade and autojumble stands filling the other half and most of the perimeter outside. Upstairs there is restaurant/cafe serving hot food and drinks with a balcony which overlooks the racecourse and the display of cars, there will be an all day concours competition with prizes available and live expert commentary.
There are 70 vehicles booked in with more welcome on the day ranging from Riley’s and Austin’s of the 1930’s to Triumphs and Fords of the 1970’s and 80’s. There are categories for pre 1950’s, 1950’s saloons, 1960’s saloons, 1970’s saloons, 1980’s saloons, post 1990’s saloons, sports and convertible vehicles. All Classic cars arriving on the day are welcome to take part in the display rather than park in the public car park, and will be able to take part in the judging in any of these categories, although owners who have not pre-booked for discounted entry will be charged the normal customer admission price on the day.
