New to the Weise range for 2016, the Docklands jacket is designed for bikers who want vintage style combined with
modern safety and comfort.
The Docklands Leather Jacket offers the best of both worlds, being made from tough yet flexible natural-milled
cowhide with CE-approved armour (all removable) throughout, including the back. The leather has an antique brown finish with padded
detailing on the shoulders and elbows plus brass fasteners for an authentic vintage look.
With zipped pockets on the chest and inside, the Docklands provides practical carrying space and there are two hand
warmer pockets as well. YKK vintage-style zips are used throughout, including the cuffs, which are secured with
popper fastenings. The collar is fastened by a traditional buckle, which is adjustable to allow for a neck warmer or
scarf, and has a soft lining for added comfort.
The Docklands has a retail price tag of £199.99 and is available in Small to 3XL.
The Review
Understated, classic-styled brown leather jacket by Weise, at a time when it seems less bikers sport a leather jacket these days, instead opting for a textile option and with removable linings, suiting both summer and autumn/winter riding. However, with extra padding, excellent cut and detailed stitching at the elbows and shoulders, it really gives a retro feel that will appeal to classic bike owners and you can’t beat the smell of fresh leather!
We’re not a fan of the buckle on the neck, fastening takes longer as a result but doens’t distract you from the fact
that this is a real quality leather jacket and feels like a premium product but at an affordable price. The jacket feels heavy but not in a bad way, it gives you the assurance that it is well made and feels substantial.
Plenty of storage for change, coins and mobile with four external zipped pockets and one internal. Feels a little bulky for casual wear but looks fine and after breaking in we suspect you’ll never take it off…..recommended!
