The RD500 was a road going GP bike for the road back in its day, but three decades later some people crave something a bit more modern, like this! Somebody took the V4 two stroke and created this YZR500 replica. This one is on the market stateside. The seller sets out his stall.
For those of us who can’t swing $175k for a real YZR500, here is beautifully designed and hand-built replica currently available for sale. Based on Regis Laconi’s 1999 machine, this bike features a 500cc two-stroke engine putting out 100hp, custom 4 lightweight exhausts, modern suspension and brakes from an R6 plus many other one off parts to complete the look. Paint work is fantastic. $25,000 including global delivery (& US title for US buyers).
